I like to work by freely experimenting with the medium, working mostly with resist and discharge-dyed textiles, print and mosaic.
Inspiration comes from a variety of sources and whilst some works are conventional depictions of the natural world, others are arrived at with a more intuitive and spontaneous approach, responding to memories, dreams, lyrics, conversations…..

I'm a freelance visual artist, designing and creating contemporary wall-hung work to commission and for exhibition.
My practice includes teaching in adult education, school residencies with learners ranging from reception year through to sixth form, community settings with art & craft groups, day centres for people with learning difficulties and old peoples homes.

I love the buzz created during a workshop: a unique interaction with people whilst working in a variety of settings.
