What's been happening.....& In the Pipeline.....

• Rufford Craft Centre... I led a silk-painting workshop to a young group of learners from the John Blow School in Newark, Nottinghamshire on Wednesday 17th March and will be leading further sessions with a family-drop -in style workshop on 3rd June and with Lowe's Wong Infant School on 9th July.

Isebrook School, Kettering, Northampton...Led a teacher training Batik workshop on Wednesday 13th January where I introduced them to discharge resist dyeing on black cotton using traditional tools. Have also held several sessions with mixed groups of Y10's where we designed and created pieces of Adiré Eleko on calico, mono-print and dyes on silk and Keith Haring and African Design studies on silk and paper using wax-resist and dyes.

Lutterworth Embroiderers Guild...I'll be demonstrating resist-dyed and printed textiles and putting on a display of my own work at the Guilds Regional Day on Saturday 21st May 2011 at Lutterworth Grammar School and I'll be leading a Batik master class workshop for Guild members at Gumley Village Hall on Saturday 16th October
