Creativity straight from the heart.

I like to work by freely experimenting, whatever the medium. I work in batik and other variations of resist and discharge dyed textiles as well as print and mosaic.

Inspiration comes from a variety of sources and whilst some works are conventional depictions of the natural world, others are arrived at using a more intuitive and spontaneous approach, responding to memories, dreams, lyrics, conversations ......... 

Works are created for exhibition and commission.

My practice includes teaching and facilitating and I have experience of working with all ages and abilities including schools, reception to sixth form, adult education, centres for people with learning difficulties, university and community settings.
