Creativity straight from the heart.

I like to work by freely experimenting, whatever the medium. I work in batik and other variations of resist and​ discharge dyed textiles as well as print, collage and mosaic.

Inspiration comes from a variety of sources and whilst some works are conventional depictions of the natural world, others are arrived at using a more intuitive and spontaneous approach, responding to memories, dreams, lyrics, conversations ......... 

Works are created for exhibition and commission.

My practice includes teaching and facilitating and I have experience of working with all ages and abilities including schools, reception to sixth form, adult education, centres for people with learning difficulties, university and community settings. 

Member of Leicester Society of Artists, Batik Guild International and Northamptonshire and Rutland Open Studios.
