Teaching experience

I have experience of working with all ages and abilities.

Initially I trained as a tutor in adult and further education and much of my earlier teaching work was with adults. This included evening classes and day workshops and also involvement in community arts projects. These have included a large scale textile hanging in collaboration with other artists on the Millgate Parish Map at the Millgate Museum in Nottinghamshire.

I was also involved over a period of ten years with the Sheffield Children's Festival, delivering Batik workshops to secondary schools in and around the city, resulting in a collaborative exhibition each year of the children's work.

I have experience also of working with children and adults with learning difficulties which I find very rewarding and I deliver workshops in primary schools nationwide.

Some of this work is culturally focused textile work and mosaics.

I offer a series of workshops throughout the year at Knighton Lane Artists Studios in Leicester.
